Yoseikan-RYU

The Yoseikan-Ryu is a traditional form of Japanese Karate noncompetitive. The fighting in this form of karate, are non-not determine a winner but just learning. Each battle is seen as an exchange of knowledge and technique. Hence, based philosophy Yoseikan "Well-being and mutual prosperity."

In Quebec, unlike in Shotokan Karate, which is more widespread, more competitive and which is practiced with greater strength,-Ryu Karate Yoseikan emphasizes speed of movement and use of force comes at the last moment movement only.

In Japan, Master Mochizuki Minoru (1907-2003) who created the first forms of Yoseikan in the '30s.

Literally the term means Yoseikan :

· YO = knowledge

· SEI franchise

· = KAN =

So places can be summarized by the word Yoseikan "The place where we develop the truth "The word

In Canada, the Master Ayme Favre, who imported the style Yoseikan. Master Favre, pioneer of karate in Quebec, his techniques understood by teachers and to Jacques Marleau Jim Hartnell. It was in Montreal at the Maison de Radio-Canada, in 1973, two students opened the first dojo Yoseikan-Ryu in Canada.

The January 21, 1999, Master André Bertrand, Master Jim Hartnell, Master Jacques A. Marleau and Master Michael Shaheen founded the "Association Yoseikan-Ryu." It is a combination of Karate operating primarily in the area of Longueuil, Pointe-aux-Trembles and La Prairie. Yoseikan-Ryu Association offers courses, seminars and courses in martial arts. As opposed to

Yoseikan Aikido and Budo or Yoseikan Yoseikan Karate-Do Federation and the Federation (Yoseikan Karaté-Do).
