A little teaser of coming page # 4. This page has been "a nightmare to work there due to a mistake I made in my storyboard. Explains Which I'm in late. This Is Panel 2, Representing Diana and Hippolyta.
especcially I'm happy With The Body I gave to Diana. She's all the same feminine and soft, and at the same time tone and strong. She's "full" and we can feel the density of her body. According to me, it's very important to represent her like a "woman woman", and not a young woman. I already said it several times here, for me, she's at least 34.
I also tried to mix all my different ideas concerning her face. As you surely know if you follow this blog, and if you know the character, she's very difficult to find, because she could be qualified to be the sum of several characters in one. So I made a lot of versions of her appearance, always hesitating between her fairy tale beauty and the amazonian warrior side of her personality. My goal is to give her a kind of versatile face, sometimes very soft and lightened, sometimes very rough and serious. So I put some elements of masculinity in it.
The light hump on the nose is a tribute to the mediterranean woman :) Diana is greek, she comes from Mediteranean Sea, like me ! People of Mediteranean Sea consider themselves as members of the same family, it's an intuitive feeling deeply imprinted in our mind, coming from our History. All of us have travelled a lot on our sea for generations, and have some salt water in the veins. So much that it's very difficult for us to live in a place far from a sea or an ocean. It's a question of resonance :)
So Diana has a hump nose On Her, Because She's one of us:)
Funny detail, I Have No hump is mine, because I'm a Halfcast, my mom Comes from a river:)
Wonder Woman is copyright DC Comics of course! (: O

A glimpse of the plate 4. This board has been a nightmare, due to an error in my storyboard, this which explains my delay. This is box 2, representing Diana and Hippolytus.
I particularly pleased with the physical that I gave to Diana. It is at once feminine and soft, and at the same time firm and strong. It is "full", and we feel the density of his body. In my opinion, it is very important to represent it as a "female female" and not as a young woman. I've said many times here, for me it has at least 34 years.
I also tried to mix my various ideas on his face. You probably know if you follow this blog, and if you know the character, it is very difficult to find, because it somehow brings several characters into one. So I made several versions of its appearance, constantly wavering between its magical beauty, and the martial aspect of his personality typically amazon. My goal is to give a face-type versatile, sometimes very soft and light, sometimes very hard and seriously. "So I put the male elements.
The slight bump on the nose is a tribute to the woman mediterranean:) Diana is Greek, it comes from the Mediterranean Sea, like me! The peoples of the Mediterranean all feel a little sense of belonging to the same family, is a intuitive feeling is deeply embedded in our minds, it comes from our history. We've all traveled a lot on our seas for generations, and we have salt water in his veins, so much so that we are usually difficult to live in a place that does not lie near a sea or an ocean of some sort. It's about resonance:)
Diana has a bump on his nose because it is one of ours:)
